Bud.TV Going From Bad To Worse

In February Bud.TV was worried that its traffic was down to around 250,000 so imagine the words in the executive suite in March when the numbers fell another 40% to just 153,000 visitors.

And remember Bud.TV said when it launched it was looking for an audience of between 2 and 3 million by next February. That has now been scaled back and management says it will be real happy reaching half a million.

The plan was to spend some $30 million on programming in the first year and management claims that has not changed. But, as Advertising Age so clearly put it, for that money Bud is looking to get a single can of beer when it had planned on a six-pack.- April 25, 2007
