Red Arrow International´s "The Escape Artist" goes to Scandinavia - October 29, 2013

Norway´s TV2 and TV4 in Sweden have secured the rights to Red Arrow International´s "The Escape Artist". Starring David Tennant ("Broadchurch"), the thriller´s first part is due to premiere on BBC One today. Written by David Wolstencroft, "The Escape Artist" was produced by Emmy Award winner Hilary Bevan Jones and Paul Frift of Red Arrow´s Endor Productions.

Helena Forsman, Head of Acquired Programmes at TV4, says: "´The Escape Artist´ was an obvious selection for the TV4 Group. It is a solid production with the best of talent on and off camera. I am confident it will add the desired impact to the prime time schedule at TV4, ending this year´s acquisitions in a most suitable way."

John Ranelagh, Head of Acquisitions at TV 2 Norway, says: "`The Escape Artist´ is outstanding in production quality and storytelling: the creative team and especially David Tennant deliver a stellar performance. Acquiring `The Escape Artist´ for TV 2 was a no-brainer."

The Escape Artist (3 x 60´ / 2 x 90´): David Tennant stars as Will Burton, a defense lawyer who specializes in getting people out of tight legal corners. But when his talents acquit the prime suspect in a horrific murder trial, that brilliance comes back to bite him.
